La Veronal (ES)

Annotation:

A night in the museum. On the wall hangs Titian's huge picture of Venus and in front of it stands a woman, contemplating it. This is the initial image of a production in which the author takes us to the Italian city of Siena to explore the concept of the human body in art throughout the centuries. What emerges is a site-specific work designed for museum and gallery spaces.

What begins in Renaissance Siena, in an epoch when humanity was discovering itself, ends in a timeless space in which reality mixes with fiction, past with present. Marcos Morau uses a rich dance movement vocabulary to broadly refer to other works in artistic fields such as painting, film and literature. A powerful visual experience from the Renaissance to David Lynch.
